Colleen Lachowicz

Colleen Madigan Lachowicz (born January 22, 1964) is an American politician and social worker from Maine. Lachowicz, a Democrat from Waterville, was elected to the Maine Senate from the 25th District. She defeated incumbent Republican incumbent Tom Martin. Her race attracted international attention when the Republican Party of Maine issued press releases condemning her for playing the online video game ''World of Warcraft'', claiming her "disturbing alter-ego" and "time-consuming double life" made her unfit to hold public office.〔(Zennie, Michael. "Democrat state senate candidate's 'disturbing double life' as 'Santiaga' a level 85 orc assassin in World of Warcraft" ''Daily Mail'' 4 October 2012 )〕〔(Shepherd, Michael. "Maine Republicans attack candidate for playing World of Warcraft" ''Morning Sentinel'' October 4, 2012 )〕 She was defeated for re-election two years later by Republican Scott Cyrway.
